The linden tree grows as a native species in both Europe and North America. There are many legends about linden throughout Europe. The most assertive discourse among these is the Celtic belief that those sitting under a linden tree can get rid of their epilepsy. In Roman and German culture, the linden tree is known as the tree of lovers, while in Polish culture, the linden tree is known as a protector from the evil eye and lightning. Linden flowers are used in many different ways, from herbal tea to creating a perfume base. You can add this plant, which has a relaxing effect, to boiled water and brew it.
