What is Harissa Spice?
Harissa, a flavor originating from Arabic cuisine, is a condiment that is widely used in North Africa and can also be made into paste. It contains pepper varieties such as powdered red pepper, serrano pepper, as well as spices such as garlic, coriander, chervil. To obtain paste or sauce, tomatoes and olive oil are added to it. It is used in meat and fish dishes in Tunisian, Moroccan, Algerian and Libyan cuisines. In some dishes it is enriched with lemon juice. Its paste is used in pastas, sandwiches and pizza.
