Flaxseed is a plant native to the Middle East and India, cultivated since primitive times. Only the fibers of the flax plant, which has been used for 30,000 years, have a unique history. Growing to a height of about 150 cm, the flax plant produces round fruits containing seeds.
Flaxseed oil can be found in many forms such as flaxseed oil, pods, whole and extracted seeds, in bread or muesli, muffins and breakfast bars. Flaxseed is an extremely nutritious food that contains many of the omega 3, vitamins and nutritious essential substances.
It can be consumed by adding to salads and adding honey. Since the shells of the grain flaxseed are not easily digested in the stomach, they are generally used in powder form.
